Nuance
も replaces は, が and を completely, so never say はも, がも or をも. Other particles such as に, で, へ and と stay and も comes after them (にも, でも). Make sure も comes right after the word that is "also": わたしも食べます (I also eat) is different from パンも食べます (I eat bread too).

Practice
JLPT style: choose the best answer for ( ).
-
1A「わたしは学生です。」B「わたし( )学生です。」
B is a student too, so も (also) is correct. を, に and で do not mark the subject.
-
2へやには だれ( )いません。
だれも with a negative verb means "nobody". だれが or だれは cannot be used with this negative meaning.
-
3土よう日に学校に行きます。日よう日( )行きます。
に stays and も comes after it, giving にも. もに is the wrong order, and を and が are replaced by も, not kept.
-
4けさは何( )食べませんでした。
何も + negative means "nothing". 何か means "something" and would not fit with 食べませんでした here.
