Nuance

まで means an action or state continues up to that point. Don't mix it up with までに, which is a deadline ("by"). から after a whole sentence means "because", which is a different use, so look at what comes before it.

Compared with

から after a noun of time or place means "from"; から after a full sentence (高いですから) means "because".

に marks a single point in time (三時に来ます); からまで marks a stretch of time with a start and an end.

FAQ

What is the difference between まで and までに?

まで means "until": something continues up to that time. までに means "by": something happens at some point before that deadline. までに is N4 grammar.

Can I use から or まで on its own?

Yes. テストは十時からです (the test starts at ten) and 六時まで (until six) are both natural. You only need both when you give the start and the end.

Is this から the same as から meaning "because"?

It is the same word but a different use. After a time or place noun it means "from"; after a full sentence it means "because".
